The new Vision 46 will cost 208,250 euros, as Bavaria Yachtbau is currently informing interested customers at the Hanseboot trade fair in Hamburg. The shipyard representatives emphasise that it will come with a very comprehensive basic specification. However, the exact specifications of the new luxury line from Giebelstadt are not yet known.
Looking at the price structure in the competitive environment, the Bavaria Vision 46 occupies a moderate, attractive position in terms of price. The equally well-equipped Sun Odyssey 45 DS from Jeanneau, for example, costs 224,080 euros. The Oceanis 45 from Beneteau, which is also brand new but slightly smaller, is available for a basic price of 198,370 euros.
Compared to the in-house competition from Bavaria's cruiser line, the new Vision concept, which is designed for luxury and comfort, remains somewhat more expensive. The Cruiser 45 (length 13.60 metres/test in YACHT 13/2010), which is comparable in terms of hull length, currently costs 175,525 euros, around 20 percent less than the Vision 46 (length 13.70 metres)
The new Vision 46 will celebrate its world premiere at the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf (21-29 January 2012). The presentation is eagerly awaited.
